HYDERABAD, April 12 The teachers and students of the Department of Statistics of the University of Sindh have paid tribute to founder vice-chancellor of Sindh University Allama I.I. Kazi for his services for the promotion of higher education and establishment of the university.

They were speaking at a seminar on the life and vision of Allama I.I. Kazi organised by the Department of Statistics in connection with founder's week celebrations.

They said that students would always be grateful to Allama Kazi who was a great visionary.

He always encouraged researchers and educationists to serve people through their abilities for the advancement of the country and nation, they said.

They said that the services of the great scholar would always be remembered and his vision would always serve as a beacon of light for the youth.

Faculty of Natural Sciences Dean Dr M Usman Memon who presided over the seminar paid tribute to Allama Kazi and said that the young generation must be grateful to the scholars like Allama Kazi who rendered services for the uplift of society through education.

He said that Sindh University was Allama's dream, which he realised through untiring efforts and dedication.
