HYDERABAD, April 29 The Higher Education Commission has approved the establishment of Mirza Qaleech Baig Chair at the University of Sindh and sent Rs2 million cheque for it.

The university's Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui had approached the HEC for financial assistance for the newly-established chair. HEC Executive Director Dr Suhail H. Naqvi informed the vice-chancellor on Wednesday that the HEC had accepted the proposal and sent the cheque for the chair.

EXAMS The university has announced that LLB part-I, II and III examinations will begin on May 6. The time table of the examinations has been dispatched to the law colleges concerned.

Meanwhile, the university has announced that M.B Homeopathy, first, second, third and final year annual examinations of 2007 will begin on May 8 at the Hyderabad centre.

JOB TESTS The Sindh University Testing Centre has announced the results of test for the post of junior school teacher recently held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas and Badin districts.

The centre has posted the results at the website www.usindh.edu.pk/sutc.
