HYDERABAD, Dec 7 District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has directed the relevant departments to ensure prompt disposal of the offal of slaughtered sacrificial animals on the occasion of Eidul Azha.

He was presiding over a meeting at his office to review arrangements made for Eid.

The district nazim said that hygienic condition must be maintained across the district and directed the towns' municipal administrations to keep their garbage-collection trucks ready to promptly lift the offal from their areas.

He said strict security arrangements should also be made for the protection of Eid congregations.

He was informed that emergency centres had already been established at the office of the MD Wasa and offices of TMAs, which would remain open round-the-clock to entertain complaints.

Leave of all Wasa employees have been cancelled. DCO Ali Ahmed, Taluka Nazim Ghulam Shabbar Chishti, Latifabad Nazim Sabir Hussain Kaimkhani, TMOs of all the four talukas and other relevant officials of the district government attended the meeting.
