HYDERABAD, Jan 19 Jamaat-i-Islami leader Asadullah Bhutto has said that Israel is the biggest terrorist state of the world, which has used poisonous bombs in the Gaza Strip to annihilate the Palestinians.

He said that the killing of four Jews in the Mumbai attacks caused a global upheaval but the international community appeared to be unfazed over the massacre of 1,100 Palestinians at the hands of Israel.

He was speaking at a seminar titled “Who is the terrorist?” organised by the Jamaat-i-Islami at the press club on Monday.

Mr Bhutto said that in 1948 Jews from all over the world were brought to Israel by displacing the Palestinians who had been subjected to inhuman atrocities ever since. The whole world knew that the biggest terrorist states were Israel and its godfather the US, he said.

He said that the government of Pakistan was playing in the hands of the US and that was why it had failed in raising a forceful voice against the ongoing Israeli aggression.

Speaking on the occasion, Awami Tehrik leader Ayaz Latif Palijo said that the US was in the control of Jews and that was the reason that it was patronising Israel and added that the Palestinian people were fighting against imperialism. He said that if the Muslims of the world were to unite on one platform, there would be no sign of Israel.

Sindh National Front secretary-general Ayoub Shar said that Muslims were being slaughtered in Iraq, Afghanistan and the northern areas of Pakistan but the perpetrators of these heinous crimes were being given medals.

Abdul Waheed Qureshi paid tribute to Hamas and Hezbollah for waging a war against the terrorists and added that the US, Israel and India had destroyed peace of the world.

PKMAP leader Azad Khan, JUI-F leader Azam Jehangiri, Shia Ulema Council leader Nizamul Hyderi, Dr Saifur Rehman and others also spoke.

PALESTINIAN STUDENTS A large number of students including those from Palestine and other Arab countries staged a protest demonstration in front of the press club against the massacre of Palestinians at the hands of the Zionist state in Gaza.

They carried placards and banners inscribed with different slogans.

Speaking on the occasion, Palestinian students' leader Jalal Mehmood condemned the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and deplored the insensitivity of the Muslim rulers. He said that the people of Palestine were looking towards Pakistan for moral support.
