FAISALABAD The Faisalabad Development Authority has planned constructing an entertainment city on a 100-acre chunk of land to provide multiple recreation facilities to the masses.
According to a handout issued by the FDA, museum, IMAX Theatre, aquarium, food court, exhibition centre, auditorium, roller coaster rides, zoo and other entertainment facilities would be provided at the city. Some German companies had showed their interest in executing the project and the FDA had despatched the feasibility report to the government for approval.
The authority had decided to select a suitable piece of land between Sargodha Road and Millat Road where a state-of-the-art road network would also be constructed.
Meanwhile, FDA director-general Dr Arshad, who is also managing-director (MD) of Wasa, has issued transfer orders of few officers.
Director (Operations) East M Ashraf has been appointed Wasa revenue director vice Mashkoor Babar, who stands retired.
Ashgar Ali has been appointed deputy director (operations) east and Waseem Mehmood Hashmi has replaced construction director Zafar Iqbal, who has been attached with Wasa MD.
Assistant Director (Operations) M Akbar has been posted deputy director operations east, Shabbir Hussain assistant director operations east, Jamshed Tariq construction assistant director and Zahid Hussain has been posted water assistant director.
