KARACHI The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) on Tuesday named a seven-member national squad to take part in the AIBA World boxing championship, starting in Milan, Italy, from Sept 1.

Meherullah has returned to the international fold after two years having served a ban for positive dope test.

PBF secretary Akram Khan said Pakistani boxers would also participate in sparring competition conducted by AIBA for players of developing countries where some of the world's eight best coaches impart training to the boxers.

Meanwhile, PBF president Doda Khan Bhutto and secretary Akram Khan attend the Congress of International Amateur Boxing Association on Aug 28 and 29.

A training camp for the boxers is in full swing at the PSB National Sports Training and Coaching Centre here.
