JHANG, June 5 (PPI) Intelligence agencies investigating the bomb blast outside the Danish Embassy in Islamabad have expanded their inquiry process to Jhang. The vehicle used in the bomb blast was found to belong to Abdul Rahim Farooqi of Jhang City, who has been shifted to an unknown place by intelligence officials. His father Abdul Hameed and other persons were meanwhile being kept under strict watch.

Abdul Hameed, talking to PPI, claimed that his son was innocent and has no link with any religious and political party. He said that the local police and other institutions had linked his son to the bombing incident without legitimate cause.

An intelligence official speaking on the condition of anonymity said that if Abdul Rahim Farooqi was not found guilty he would be released.

Activists belonging to banned religious parties in Jhang had gone underground and none were available to comment on the incident.
