Red alert declared in Hyderabad zone

HYDERABAD Red alert has been declared in Hyderabad zone on Eid day to avert any possible act of terrorism and security has been beefed up.
A high level meeting of police officers presided over by DIG Hyderabad Sanaullah Abbasi here on Tuesday, reviewed the security measures on the eve of Eidul Fitr.
Every DPO will ensure foolproof security arrangements in his district. The meeting decided that police officials after briefing the administration of mosques and Imam Barghas, would conduct search of each person entering the mosque.
Vehicles would be parked at distance from the mosques and Imam Bargahs, while bomb disposal squad would check the vehicles through detectors.
The meeting was told that there were 187 Eidgahs, 582 important mosques and 73 Imam Bargahs which had been considered as sensitive, where 529 volunteers, 639 head constables and 3196 constables have been deputed.
While 200 mosques affiliated with militant organisations (Jihadi organizations) where some 350 people were observing Eitakaf were being monitored.
It was further decided to strictly monitor religious madressah, militant organisation activists, and movement of the people who have been included in the fourth schedule.
DIG Mr Abbasi directed the DPO to install close circuit cameras with the help of business community at all sensitive places.
