Larkana board`s SSC-II results

LARKANA, July 5 Results of the annual examination 2009 results of Secondary School Certificate Part-II (Science and General group) were announced on Sunday by Larkana Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

In Science Group, among boys, Ali Jan Burdi of Public School Larkana stood first and Bilal Ahmed Tunio of Public School Larkana stood second. The third position was shared by Kashif Rasool Shar of Cadet College Larkana and Ali Hassan Abbasi of District Montessori School Shikarpur.

Among girls, the first position was shared by Prinka Persmani of The City School Larkana and Zara Shaikh of Sindh Science College Larkana. Iram Waheed Memon of Public School Larkana stood second while Paras Junejo of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology Larkana stood third.

In General group, among boys, Mohammed Jawed Abro of Government Higher Secondary School Jacobabad stood first, Ameer Ali Dayo of Government High School Dodapur secured second position and Muhammed Ali Mazari of Sindh Arts College Warah stood third.

Among girls, Bakhtawar Hingoro of Government High School Thariri Mohbat stood first, Firsdous Pathan of Government high School Nawara second while Jamalan Bhatti of Government High School Mirpur Buriro secured third position.

In Science group, of 26,480 candidates appeared in the examination, only 1,077 could clinch A-1 grade, 7,554 A-grade, 9,940 B-grade, 4,417 C-grade and 372 D-grade. The result of 312 candidates was withheld on the charges of using unfair means in the examination, an announcement said.

In General group, 1,522 students appeared in the examinations but no one could secure A-1 grade. Only 103 could clinch A-grade, 653 B-grade, 575 C-grade and 64 D-grade. The result of 55 candidates was withheld on the charges of cheating and short of documents.
