RAWALPINDI, April 12: A man was shot dead, while 19 people were injured in separate incidents on Saturday, police said.

According to the police, a 20-year-old man, Aamir, was allegedly shot dead by his neighbour in Khayaban-i-Sir Syed locality. The police said motive behind the murder was a quarrel between the deceased and his neighbours.

In another incident, 15 people were injured when a pickup (RIN-8074) of Nilor Factory collided with a Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission bus (RIG-6077) while overtaking a car, the police said.

As a result, passengers travelling in the pickup sustained critical injuries and were shifted to the Rawalpindi General Hospital (RGH).

Meanwhile, Shabir Hussain suffered electric shock when a high-tension cable fell on him. Shabir was on his way home in sector I-9 when the incident occurred, the police said.

The injured was taken to the Holy Family Hospital, where he was said to be in a critical condition.

Similarly, Aslam Baig sustained head injuries when one of his former colleagues attacked him on Saturday. Aslam Baig told the police that his former colleague, Yaqoob, attacked him when he was going to his old office.

The police said the incident occurred due to a quarrel between Yaqoob and Aslam.

Likewise, Mohammad Rehman lodged an FIR with the Margalla police saying Mujahid and Shoaib allegedly attacked and injured him and one of his friends in sector G-9/3.
