HYDERABAD, July 9 Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Thursday announced the result of Secondary School Certificate part-II (class-X) annual examination-2009 of Science Group.


Students of private schools have bagged all the honours with the only exception of Cadet College Petaro that remained on the top.


The first and second positions among boys have gone to the Cadet College Petaro with the two cadets sharing the first position. The second position is shared by the students of Falcon House Grammar High Schools, Hyderabad, and Foundation Public School, Defence Housing Society. The third position is also shared by the students of three different private schools.


Sixteen other students of Petaro Cadet College, many of them securing equal marks, are included in the category of top 10 in the merit list.


Among girl students, all the honours have gone to private schools.


BOYS Among boys, Bilawal Ali, son of Mohammad Siddique, and Shahabuddin Ahmed, son of Atharuddin, of Petaro Cadet College, have shared the first position with 791 marks each. The second position has been shared by four candidates Rayhan Jamil, son of Jamil Ahmed Khan; Mohammad Saad Saeed, son of Mohammad Saeed, of the cadet college. Other two are Mohammad Bilal Shaikh, son of Mohammad Muzaffar Shaikh, of Falcon House Grammar High School Hyderabad, and Salman Manzoor, son of Gul Mohammad, of Foundation Public School, with 789 marks each.


Jitesh Kumar, son of Chaman Lal, of Paradise High School Tando Mohammad Khan; Danish, son of Nabi Bux Khan, of Public School Hyderabad, and Mohammad Daniyal, son of Mohammad Naqeem, of Madina Foundation High School Latifabad No.6, shared the third position with 788 marks each.


GIRLS Ms Yumna Afzal, daughter of Mohammad Afzal Shaikh, of Hayat Girls Higher Secondary School Hyderabad, has secured the first position by obtaining 799 marks while Ms Kiran Qureshi, daughter of Rukhsar Qureshi, of County Cambridge High School Hyderabad, and Ms Juveria, daughter of Mohammad Hakam, of Strong Base High School Hyderabad, shared the second position with 782 marks each.


The third position has been secured by Ms Sumaiya, daughter of Sajid Hassan, of Public School Hyderabad, by obtaining 780 marks. According to the board record, total 46,644 candidates, including 17,221 girl students, appeared in the examination. Of these 3,9712 students, including 15,396 girl students, were declared pass in all the subjects. The percentage of successful candidates remains 85.14.
