DADU, Nov 26 A girl committed suicide by shooting herself with a pistol here on Friday amid reports she was heartbroken after her lover jilted her and her nude clips were found on the Internet.

The 22-year-old college student who worked with a local NGO as lady health worker suddenly lost all interest in life after the boy she was in love with jilted her and finally she ended her life, sources close to the girl's family said.

The girl's father informed police about the suicide. Police moved the body to hospital and found a note purportedly left by the girl, which read “I don't want to live this humiliating life and am committing suicide”.

Police have recovered the pistol and an empty shell from the girl's bed.

The girl's mother said that she was asleep in the same bedroom, when she heard a shot and found her daughter dead. No one else was in the room at that time, she said.

The girl's father said that he did not know where his daughter got the pistol from. He had no enmity with any one, he said.

Dadu DPO Javed Soonharo Jiskani disclosed that the girl's nude video clips were found on the Internet and police were investigating as to who recorded her clips and uploaded on the Internet.

He believed the nude clips might be the reason behind the suicide and said he had formed a team headed by SP investigation to conduct an inquiry and arrest the culprit.

Dr Sikandar at Dadu civil hospital who carried out autopsy on the girl's body said that the bullet entered through the neck and went into the skull, causing instant death. It was a suicide case, he said.
