DADU, July 27 DIG of Hyderabad Tahir Naveed has said that fool-proof security arrangements have been made for the 758th Urs of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz scheduled to be held from July 31 in Sehwan.

Addressing a press conference at the Sehwan press club on Tuesday, the police officer said that after the blasts at Data Darbar, 4,000 police officials had been deployed at Sehwan and strict checking had been started at entry points and in the town.

It was for the first time that police officials in such a number had been deployed before start of the Urs, he said, adding that 50 close-circuit cameras were installed in town to monitor movement of people.

He said that senior officers would control flow of traffic.

Chairman of the Mela committee and DCO of Jamshoro Sami Siddique said that 12 fire tenders and 18 ambulances were called from other districts for the Urs.
