UMERKOT, Dec 4. Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party chairman Dr Qadir Magsi has said that President Asif Ali Zardari has disappointed the people of Sindh as he has failed to ensure arrest of the assassins of Ms Benair Bhutto.
Speaking at a public gathering in Pithoro, Mr Magsi said that Ms Benazir Bhutto was not only an asset of the Pakistan People's Party but also the soul of 30 million people of Sindh.
If the PPP government failed to get her assassins arrested, the people of Sindh would take revenge of her murder, he said.
He said that President Zardari was perusing policies of Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf and willing to establish dams on the River Indus but people of Sindh would not let him do so.
Mr Magsi said that conspiracies were under way to eliminate culture of Sindh but now the Sindhi people had decided to support nationalists to protect their rights and culture.
The government had made people beggars by introducing Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Income Support Programme under which poor women had to stand in queues at post offices to get Rs1,000 monthly subsistence allowance, he said.
He said that the doors of educational institutions in Karachi had been shut for students from interior Sindh.
STP leaders Sikiladho Rahimoon, Nandlal Malhi and others also spoke on the occasion.
