NAWABSHAH, Aug 23 The Nawabshah chapter of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has demanded that the district administration and irrigation department should demolish private bunds raised illegally in the kutcha belt by some influential landlords.

He said that the private bund was continuously building up pressure on the river embankments and might cause a major disaster.
DCO Jamal Mustafa Syed admitted to the existence of the zamindari bund but said he was not sure about its measurement. The revenue officials would be able to provide further details, he said.
