Bomb defused in Mardan

MARDAN, April 20 The bomb disposal squad defused a 10kg explosive planted near the wall of a local CNG station in Par Hoti here on Tuesday.

According to police, some unknown miscreants had panted explosives concealed in a water cooler to target owner of Gul CNG station, a former nazim of Sikandari Union Council and leader of Awami National Party, Lethab Gul.

The hujra of Lethab Gul was targeted with a locally-made bomb about a month ago. No casualty had occurred. Police have registered a case and started a search operation in the surrounding areas. No arrest has been made so far.—Correspondent
