QUETTA, Nov 16 A division bench of the Balochistan High Court has taken notice of the filing of false affidavits by officials of the Balochistan Board of Revenue about appointments in the department.

The board's senior member, Shahbaz Khan Mandokhel, admitted in the court on Monday that false affidavits had been filed and rules had been violated in appointments.

The bench comprising Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Tahira Safdar allowed him to file a fresh statement on the issue.

The court adjourned the hearing till Dec 8.

It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani had two days ago cancelled appointments made in the Board of Revenue.
