KOHAT, Nov 24 The district administration banned sale of gunpowder and urea fertilizer for two months under section 144 in Kohat district on Tuesday.

The ban was enforced as precautionary measure to check suicide attacks during Eidul Azha and Muharram.

Meanwhile, the Saddar police arrested 22 gamblers and seized Rs34,000 stake money during a raid in Babri Banda area on Tuesday.

TWO KILLED One person was killed and two injured in a shootout between rival armed groups over a land dispute in Nasrat Khel on Tuesday.

The rival parties of Patwari Daraz Khan, residents of Momand Agency and Faiz ur Rehman alias Shino came face to face along with their sons and relatives in Banda Ahmed Khan on Hangu road.

During exchange of firing Faiz ur Rehman died on the spot while Mujahid and Mohammad Ibrahim were seriously injured. The latter who got multiple bullet wounds was shifted to Peshawar in serious condition.—Correspondent
