3`militants` arrested in Mardan

MARDAN, March 12 Security forces arrested three alleged militants during a raid on a house in the Madey Baba area here on Friday morning.

The alleged militants are brothers and have business in Kalam, Swat. They have reportedly been involved in terrorist activities in Swat and Mardan. The accused were identified as Zaman Khan, Umar Zaman Khan and Mohammad Murad Khan.

MANSEHRA The administration of the Government Girls High School, Dodial, on Friday received a threatening letter from suspected militants, asking it to make wearing veil compulsory both for students and teachers, or get ready for consequences.

The letter reads “We warn you to issue an order that all female teachers and students should come in veils to the school.” The school administration informed the education department, police and the district authorities soon after receiving the letter.
