3 kidnapped in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR, May 11 Three people were kidnapped from kutcha area near Saddar Ji Bhatiyoon on Sunday night.

Abdul Rahim and Mohammad Siddique Soomro were loading bananas in a pickup of Abdul Rahim Nangrejo when some unidentified armed men appeared on the scene and whisked them away.

When they did not return to their houses, their relatives accompanied by the area people reached the place of the incident where they found the abandoned pickup and footprints which suggested that the three had been kidnapped. They followed the footprints but lost them at some distance.

When contacted, an official at the Abdul Rehman Unnar police station said that they had been informed about the incident but had not registered a case.

Saddar Ji Bhatiyoon union council nazim Khadim Mirani confirmed the incident and said that the kidnap victims were resident of his union council.
