LONDON Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Ghaus Ali Shah has said President Asif Ali Zardari had made it clear to PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in their meeting in Raiwind in July that he cannot press for the trial of the former President Musharraf due to his compulsions.

Talking to a private TV channel here on Wednesday, he said President Zardari had held a meeting with Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind on July 17th, which was also attended by six ministers of the PPP and senior leaders of the PML-N.

During the meeting, he added, Zardari said he cannot put the former president on trial due to certain compulsions.

Shah said Zardari cleared his position that the former president had talked to stakeholders and had resigned under an understanding and therefore he cannot conduct his trial.
