ISLAMABAD Senior MQM leader, member parliament Wasim Akhtar has categorically reiterated that MQM will support the resolution likely to be presented by PML-N in parliament to ensure trial against former dictator Pervez Musharraf.

Talking in a media program, he affirmed that MQM will support PML-N if it presents a resolution to ensure trial against Pervez Musharraf under article-6 of the constitution.

Wasim Akhtar further underlined that MQM has no core differences with other political parties of the country, but MQM wanted, that instead of indulging in dead issues, the incumbent government, with all the other political forces, should address the major challenges of the country.

'Both the mainstream political parties of the country have pinned hopes with America instead of looking towards the nation to gain support and strength,' added Akhtar.—Online
