KOHAT Security forces arrested 42 suspected militants, three of them said to be experts in bomb making, in an operation in the Shin Dhand area of the Frontier Region of Kohat on Friday.

Officials said the arrested people were shifted to the special interrogation cell. Three of them, according to the officials, had admitted that they were experts in making bombs of all sorts.

Meanwhile, sources said they were trying to identify a body found in the mountains of Darra Adamkhel near the Shin Dhand area, which could be of wanted commander of local Taliban Abid Ramzi.

The militant had been arrested in connection with planning a suicide attack in Dera Ismail Khan in 2008. However, he had escaped the Kohat prison along with two other accomplices later.

The forces, meanwhile, continued pounding hideouts of militants in Tor Chappar and the mountains on the Kohat-Darra Adamkhel border on Thursday night and Friday.
