ABBOTTABAD, April 20: Qaumi Jamhoori Party (QJP) President Air Marshal Asghar Khan has said Kashmir’s independence is the best solution of the long-standing issue as India cannot suppress the freedom struggle.
He was speaking to newsmen at a party office here after meeting with QJP workers of Abbottabad district on Sunday.
Asghar Khan said that both the countries should protect Kashmiris and begin working for the welfare of the whole region.
About the LFO, he said none of the elected members, whether of the ruling party or opposition, wanted dissolution of the assemblies as they could not afford it.
The government and opposition had failed in delivering the goods, he added.
About a QJP plan, Asghar Khan said they had started their re-organization campaign and shortly would hold worker conventions in all the four provinces.
The government, he said, had formed a high-power committee to investigate the death of Omar Asghar Khan.
Earlier, QJP Secretary-General Zafar Mirza and other leaders spoke on the occasion.
A former MNA from Punjab and member of the central working committee of the PML-Q, Syed Nusrat Ali Shah, joined the QJP on this occasion.
