Published September 29, 2010

KARACHI, Sept 28 Leaders of various factions of the Pakistan Muslim League called on the chief of the PML-F (Functional), Pir Pagara, here on Tuesday.

Those who met him at his residence included PML (Likeminded) leaders Saleem Saifullah, Humayun Akhtar Khan, Arbab Zakaullah, Razzaq Rahamoon and Ejazul Haq of Zia League.

Talking to newsmen, Pir Pagara said that the alliance between different factions of the PML was neither for former president Pervez Musharraf nor for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

However, he said that Nawaz Sharif and the leaders of the Awami National Party would also be invited to join the alliance.

He said that any religious groups would not be asked to join the alliance and he would soon visit Lahore to hold final talks with various factions for the unification of the PML.—APP
