KARACHI, Sept 1 The Pakistan Medical Association, which has established various medical relief camps for flood-affected people in different parts of the country, closed its camp established in Ghotki district on Wednesday.

PMA general secretary Dr Habibur Rehman Soomro said that the association had decided to close the camp due to “non-cooperation of the local government”.

According to Dr Soomro, the camp was being run by PMA members, who were government employees at the district headquarters hospital Ghotki. About 1,000 flood victims were attended on a daily basis at the camp, which was being run for the last about five days.
