HYDERABAD, March 3 The adviser to Sindh chief minister, Sharmila Farooqui, has said that those who have chosen the path of confrontation are not sincere with the nation.
Talking to media people after addressing an open katchehry at circuit house here, she said that after disqualification of the Punjab chief minister, governor rule in the province was a constitutional requirement. She said that the disqualification was a court verdict but the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) was criticising the PPP which was unfair.
She said that those who were talking about mid-term elections had boycotted last year's general elections. She said that the PPP had convinced the PML-N to contest the elections which was a proof that the PPP believed in democratic process.
She said that the PPP believed in democracy and reconciliation and added that any party which proved majority in the Punjab Assembly would form government in the province.
She said that the PPP had been victimised (in the past) but had never avenged itself on opponents.
Answering a question about mobile courts, Ms Farooqui said that they were being established to provide easy and speedy justice to poor people.
Earlier, speaking at the open katchehry, the adviser said that workers and office-bearers of the PPP were servants of the nation. She said that the objective of arranging a series of open katchehries was to solve people's problems at their doorsteps.
She received applications from the people and issued orders on the spot.
She directed the officers present in the open katchehry to be accessible to people and solve their problems.
Earlier, the adviser visited Central Prison Hyderabad and inquired from prisoners about their problems.
