THATTA: PPP leader booked

THATTA, April 24: A leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, her three brothers and a cousin were booked by the Sujawal police for injuring their sister-in-law in the Choretani village here on Wednesday.

The complainant, Safdar, stated in the FIR that PPP leader Rehana Leghari, her three brothers, Ali Raza, Sajjad and Ali Asghar, and their cousin, Fateh Ali, stormed his house and resorted to firing. He said his wife, Parveen Zohra, was injured in the firing.

The attack is said to be the result of a dispute over land.

PPP leaders Ejaz Ali Khwaja, MPA Sassui Palejo, MPA Humaira Alwani, Thatta PPP president Dr A. Wahid Soomro and others have termed the FIR fabricated.—Correspondent
