Wapda thrash Sukkur 18-0

LAHORE, Dec 15 Railways, Wapda, Faisalabad and Karachi qualified for the semi-finals of the 25th National Womens hockey championship at the National Hockey Stadium here on Tuesday, as three more matches were played in the final round.

Gujranwala beat Islamabad 3-1, while Faisalabad defeated the NWFP 9-0.

Iram Shahzadi of Faisalabad scored four goals.

Defending champions Wapda outplayed Sukkur 18-0.

Nazia Rehmat, Azra Parveen and Aneela Khan scored three goals, each.

Semi-finals will be played on Thursday.— Sports Reporter
