LAHORE, May 3 A 15-member Pakistan volleyball squad is leaving for Bangkok on Monday for a training tour ahead of participation in the World championship's second-round qualifiers.

The team will return home on May 13 and then leave for Tehran, Iran, on May 18 to take part in the qualifiers.

Pakistan had qualified for the second round after winning the first round in Islamabad.

If Pakistan win the second round, it will play in the next World championship.

Pakistan Volleyball Federation secretary Mohammad Afzal said the federation had decided to have a preparatory tour ahead of the qualifiers since it was a big assignment.

He added that the Pakistan team was the second tallest in the world with average height of six feet and eight inches.
