KARACHI, Feb 3 Faisalabad beat Sialkot by five runs in the last of the Under-19 National Women's Cricket Championship pool matches played at the National Stadium Karachi's Regional Cricket Academy ground here on Wednesday.
The Pool 'B' encounter saw Sialkot winning the toss and putting Faisalabad into bat first. They put on 101 runs in the allotted 25 overs with the 39 extras being the highest contributor of runs followed by opener Rabia Basri who remained not out at 23.
In reply, Sialkot were all out for 96 in 24.2 overs. Faisalabad's medium pacer Mehwish Iqbal displayed fine bowling when she picked up three wickets while giving away 19 ruins in her five-over quota.
Rabia Basri was named Player of the Match.
The final between hosts Karachi and Lahore, the top two teams in their respective pools, will be played at the South End Club at 1.30pm on Thursday. Chairperson Women's Wing Mrs Shirin Javed will also be present on the occasion.
