KARACHI, July 20 The three-day 14th Sindh Games will be held at Sukkur from Feb 6 to 8 next year, a top official of the Sindh ministry of sports said on Tuesday.

The dates were finalised by Sindh Sports Minister, Dr Mohammad Ali Shah, recently aimed at to get the funds in time and to conduct it in pleasant weather, secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, Shoaib Siddiqui, said.

It has been the practice that the annual spectacle takes place in scorching heat and staging of the 13th Sindh Games at Karachi from June 14 to 16 is the latest example.

He said apart from utilising sporting facilities at IBA Sukkur, and Municipal Stadium, some disciplines will also be conducted in Khairpur. Traditional events will be organised at Gotki.

He disclosed work on laying synthetic hockey turf at Railway Stadium Sukkur, a federal government funded project, was already in progress.
