Squash team leaves for India

LAHORE A seven-member Pakistan squad left for India on Wednesday to take part in the Asian Squash Championship starting in Chennai on May 1.

The squad comprised five players, including one woman, and two officials — Qamar Zaman (manager) and Jamshed Gul (coach).

Waqar Mahboob, Farhan Mahboob, Aamir Atlas and Yasir Butt, along with Maria Toor, Pakistans top female player, are included in the squad.

Squash great Qamar expressed the hope that the players would put up a good performance in the event. — Sports Reporter
