DHAKA, Feb 8 Fast-rising Saadi Abbas picked up the silver medal in 67kg in individual kumite karate event of 11th South Asian Games after going down to Sayed Muhammad of Afghanistan after an exciting bout at Sohorwardy Indoor Gymnasium here on Monday.
The 20-year-old Saadi, who had won the gold medal in Commonwealth karate champion maintained his good run in the international arena. In 60 class Nasir Ali of Pakistan took the bronze medal.
Earlier on Sunday, Sarah Nasir of Pakistan won the gold medal in women 55kg Kumite after beating Anu Adhikari of Nepal.—APP
