Provinces basketball starts today

KARACHI, Feb 11 Teams of Punjab and NWFP arrived here on Thursday to feature in the Inter-provincial basketball championship which gets into action at the PSB Coaching Centre on Friday with two matches on card.

Balochistan, the third outstation team, is due to reach here from Quetta in the wee hours of Friday.

Host Sindh is fielding two teams in the contest which is being held under the aegis of Sindh Amateur Basketball Association (SABA) as a step to revive past glories of the game.

The visiting teams have been provided lodging in the hostel of PSB Coaching Centre.

According to draws, Sindh greens takes on Balochistan in the opening match at 4pm while Punjab is pitted against NWFP in the second at 5pm.—Sports Correspondent
