Pakistan gets 2 snooker events

KARACHI, Sept 14 The Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports (ACBS) has awarded Pakistan two international events -- Asian Under-21 Snooker and Asian Billiards Championship in April 2010, the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) announced on Monday.

“Around 16 out of 32 member countries are expected to take part in the competitions,” the PBSA statement said here.

A four-member of the delegation of PBSA comprising chairman Asghar Valika, president Alamgir Shaikh, vice-president Jawed Karim and Secretary Munawar Shaikh held a meeting with Federal Sports Minister Pir Aftab Hussain Jilani about organisng the two international events in a befitting manner.—APP
