KARACHI Another Pakistan pugilist Nisar Khan confirms second bronze for his country in the AIBA China Open International Boxing Championship in Guiyang, China after he dispatched Italy's Podda Luca to confirm his presence in the semi-finals.

Fighting in the middleweight 75kg category, Nisar knocked the Italian pugilist out in only 80 seconds to secure his place in the last-four of the event.

Earlier, Mir Waiz Khan got a bye in the technical draws in super heavyweight category. He will now face Ghossoun Soumar from Syria in the semi-finals.

Pakistan's prominent boxer Mohammad Waseem will fight against Cuba's Hernandez Andris Laffita in 51kg weight category in the champship on Thursday.—Agencies
