NBP, Wapda in badminton finals

LAHORE, April 14 National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Wapda entered both men's and women's finals at the All-Pakistan Badminton Ranking tournament in Sialkot on Tuesday.

NBP defeated Sindh 3-0 in the first men's semi-final, while Wapda ousted Railways 3-0 in the other.

Men's semi-finals

NBP beat Sindh 3-0 (Mohammad Ijaz bt Hassan Zaidi 21-15, 21-8; Rizwan Azam / Kashif bt Shabbir / Hassan 21-17, 21-15; Atif Nadeem bt Farhan 15-21, 21-5, 21-13).

Wapda beat Railways 3-0 (Zafar Tasneem bt Waqas Zahid 15-21,15-21, 21-13; Zafar / Hashir bt Zohaib / Imran 21-18, 23-25, 21-14; Umer Zeeshan bt Adnan Siddiqui 21-17, 21-12).

Women's semi-finals

NBP beat Punjab 3-0 (Ayesha Akram bt Nida 21-6, 21-8; Ayesha / Palwashe bt Nida / Saba 27-7, 21-2; Sara Mohmind bt Saba 21-10, 21-3).

Wapda beat Islamabad (Aneeka bt Khizra 17-21, 21-17, 21-7; Asma Butt / Uzma Butt bt Sidra / Khizra 21-12, 21-13; Farzana Ali bt Sidra 21-12, 21-13).
