Muqaddas wins squash title

KARACHI, Oct 25 Top seed Muqaddas Ashraf of Wapda took a sweet revenge when she brushed aside Army's Zoya Khalid in four games final to win the Hyderabad Women's Open Squash championship at Hyderabad Gymkhana court on Sunday.

Muqaddas, who lost the final to army woman in the preceding Karachi Women's Open Squash championship took 33 minutes to post 11-6, 11-8, 10-12, 11-7 victory over her opponent.

After taking 2-0 lead, Muqaddas was close to wrap up the match but she faltered and missed match point twice in the third game.

The winner received a cheque of Rs13,300 while the runner-up pocketed Rs9,100. —Sports Correspondent
