KARACHI, Aug 9 Chand Sports reached the final of the Minority Football Tournament after beating Super China 5-3 on penalty-kicks at the City District Government Karachi ground on Monday.

The first semi-final turned out to be a tough and equally-matched encounter as both sides failed to score during regulation as well as extra time.

For Chand Sports, Ashok, Rajesh, Xavier, Jagdish and Chand converted the penalties while Bashir, Vicky and Naushad found the net for Super China.

Earlier, the third quarter-final that had to be put off due to city disturbances last week saw Young Bachpan edging past Parsi 1-0 to make it to the second semi-final to be played on Tuesday. The decider was scored by Sunil in the sixth minute. The second semi-final will see Young Bachpan clashing with Narainpura at the same venue at 5.00pm on Tuesday.—Sports Reporter
