KARACHI, Jan 26 Two more matches played in Pool 'A' in the Under-19 National Women Cricket Championship at the South End Club here on Tuesday saw Lahore and Multan winning their second successive matches.

Lahore beat Rawalpindi by 10 wickets. Winning the toss, Rawalpindi elected to bat first and were dismissed for 49 runs in 24.2 overs. Bakhtawar Iqbal, Faryal Awan and Farah Naeem took three wickets each while Sidra Amin picked one.

Lahore reached the target in 5.5 overs with openers Komal Feroze and Faryal Awan staying at the crease to do the needful in just 29 minutes. Faryal put on a brisk 26 of 13 balls with five fours and Komal added nine. Faryal was also named Player of the Match.

In the other match, Multan beat Islamabad by 110 runs. Winning the toss, Islamabad put Multan into bat first. They made 187 with the loss of four wickets in 25 overs. Asfa Batool got 61 and Sana Gulzar 50. Sana's innings also included six fours.

In reply, Islamabad could only put on 77 runs in the entire 25 overs. Asfa Batool of Multan bowled a tight spell picking up three wickets for 10 runs. She was named Player of the Match, too.
