KARACHI, Aug 13 Defending champions FC Rovers Malir will take on Burma Mohammadan Korangi as the second Karachi United (KU) Ramazan Football Tournament kicks off under floodlights at 10.30pm at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium from Aug 15 (Sunday).

The tournament features 32 teams and will be played at four grounds of the city, City District Government Karachi (CDGK), Shafi Stadium Malir and the PAD ground in Clifton being the other three venues.

The event features 32 teams, with each venue assigned to host matches for eight teams each that have been divided into two groups of four teams. The two top teams from each group will qualify for the pre-quarter finals to be staged at Baloch Mujahid.

According to the first draws taken out for the Baloch Mujahid Stadium, Group 'A' comprises defending champions FC Rovers Malir, Burma Mohammadan Korangi, Sharafi Mohammadan Malir and Irfan Memorial Landhi while Group 'B' is made up of hosts Karachi United, Al Shahbaz Korangi and Baloch Mujahid Korangi Gymkhana.
