Inter-district basketball

KARACHI, Jan 7 Eight local outfits have entered in the Karachi championship which gets into action at the Nishtar Park court on Friday evening.

The teams have been drawn into two groups and top two from each will qualify for the semi-finals.

A District East 'G', District South 'W', District Central and District West 'G '.

B District South 'G', District East 'W', District West 'W' and District Malir.

The annual event which is being held under the aegis of Karachi City District Amateur Basketball Association (KCDABA) marks revival of the game at the venue after a long time.

All the matches will be played under floodlit. The event concludes on Jan 15.

Friday's fixtures

District East 'W' v District West 'W' at 6.30pm; District East 'G' v District Central at 7.30pm.—
