KARACHI, Jan 13 Both the teams of district East, 'Greens' and 'Whites' emerged victorious against their opponents in the Karachi Inter-district basketball championship at the Nishtar park court on Wednesday.

Lawrence was on a scoring spree and despite producing valuable 24 could not save his team District West 'G' from suffering 48-65 defeat at the hands of District East 'G'.

Talha Awan turned out to be top scorer for winners with 18. Saifullah and Faizan contributed 15 and 8 respectively.

In the other match, District East 'W' registered first win in three outings when they disposed off District Malir 60-35.

Talha Amjad shone for the winners with 27. He was followed by Rizwan and Haroon with 10 and 9 respectively. Ali 11, Zaidi and Bilal eight each, were the scorers for losers.
