THATTA: Sale of girl condemned

THATTA, May 4: The activists of the HRCP and NGOs held a protest demonstration in Chilya here on Sunday against the selling of a girl, Mithan Mallah, and her forcible marriage to an old man by her father in connivance with a feudal lord.

The protesters gathered in front of the press club where some of them gave speeches.

ROBBERY: Four armed dacoits stormed the Jareja village on motorcycles and looted cash and other valuables on Sunday. They left a message that they were settling their score with the villagers for capturing two members of their gang and handing them to the police.
