Wimbledon 2013: Day nine

Andy Murray's predicted stroll to the Wimbledon final became a hazardous obstacle course on Wednesday as he was forced to claw back a two-set deficit against Fernando Verdasco to join top seed Djokovic in the last four.

Novak Djokovic proved unstoppable and courageous Juan Martin Del Potro indomitable as both claimed straight-sets victories on Wednesday to set up a Wimbledon semi-final clash. Top seed Djokovic reeled off his fifth successive three-set victory although his quarter-final against Czech seventh seed Tomas Berdych was harder than the scoreline suggested.

Novak Djokovic will play against Juan Martin del Potro and Jerzy Janowicz will play against Andy Murray on Friday.
