14 Afghans detained in Chaman for illegal entry

QUETTA, July 7: Fourteen Afghan nationals were taken into custody in the border town of Chaman on Sunday on the charge of illegally entering Pakistan, police said.

SHO Shahid said security had been beefed up in Chaman after a suicide attack along the Pak-Afghan Friendship Gate on Friday left 11 people dead, among them seven Afghan policemen.

The arrested Afghan nationals could not produce travelling documents to police. They were taken to a police station and booked under the Foreigners Act.
