MINGORA, Dec 11: The Loya Jirga of the Malakand division (LJM) has condemned the government for detaining heads of religo-political parties and demanded that the leaders be released immediately.

An LJM statement, issued here on Tuesday, stated that the arrests of Qazi Hussein Ahmad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Maulana Sufi Muhammad were illogical.

The Jirga demanded that the government release them before Eidul Fitr.
