JUI-F rejects results of 8 Quetta seats
QUETTA, May 12: JUI-F Senator Hafiz Hamdullah has rejected results of elections for two seats of National Assembly and six of provincial assembly in Quetta.
Addressing a press conference on Sunday, he accused the polling staff of committing massive rigging.
“Polling staff at various polling stations were found involved in rigging in favour of a nationalist political party,” he said.
He alleged that fake identity cards had been used to cast bogus votes and ballot papers had been provided to political rivals of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islami-Fzal before the polling started.
He said bogus votes had been cast in Faisal Town and other polling stations, adding that polling continued there till 10pm. “The polling staff did not allow voters of the JUI-F’s candidates to cast their votes but encouraged voters of the rival party to cast their votes till 10pm,” he said.
He called upon the Election Commission of Pakistan to withhold results of these contests and get thumb impressions on ballot papers examined by Nadra to detect bogus voting.— Staff Correspondent
