PHF invites 25 probables for Asia Cup camp
LAHORE, July 16: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced names of 25 probables for the national training camp to be set up in Lahore from July 21 in preparation for the Asia Cup scheduled to be held in Ipoh Malaysia from Aug 24 to Sept 1.
The probables will report to camp commandant and manager Akhtar Rasool on July 21.
Waseem Ahmed, who missed out on the World Hockey League due to injuries he sustained in a road accident, has also been included in the list of probables.
Pakistan failed to qualify for the 2014 World Cup through the World League and now victory in the Asia Cup is the only chance for the team to qualify for the mega event scheduled to be held in Hague, Holland.

Imran Butt, Imran Shah, Mazhar Abbas, Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Ateeq, Kashif Ali, Khalid Bhatti, Rizwan Junior, Mohammad Tousiq, Waseem Ahmed, Rashid Mahmood, Fareed Ahmed, Aamir Shahzad, Waqas Sharif, Shafqat Rasool, Zohaib Ashraf, Abdul Haseem Khan, Rizwan Senior, Shakeel Abbasi, Ali Shan, Mohammad Umar Bhutta, Mohammad Dilber, Mohammad Zubair and Mohammad Salman Hussain.
